Castellón Railway Station

Castellón. Spain.

Client: Ministry of public works, transport and environment.

In association with Joaquín Lizasoain.

The construction of the beltway around the city gave Castellón the opportunity to design a new railway layout, fully underground, of which only the new station would be visible. As a precedent in Spain of a typology that has spread, the open tender was very intriguing. More than 500 teams registered and finally 110 proposals were delivered.
