Recyclair Offices

Salvatierra - Agurain (Álava). Spain.

The offices are adjacent to the industrial building, devoted to metal recycling. They include the employee changing rooms and an accommodation area for some of the staff.

This project reflected our interest in working with building materials and techniques, and the degree of detail we could achieve, in projects for all types of buildings. The openings were covered using lattices with motorised slats, in the same material as the façade.

The corner features a large cantilevered roof, designed in collaboration with engineer Mario Guisasola, protects and marks the presence of the entrance to the offices. Its design was inspired by Jean Prouve’s Maison du Peuple in Clichy.
