Guindalera Residential Building

Logroño (La Rioja). Spain.

Client: Vallehermoso

The block forms a U-shape around a private courtyard. For better use of the commercial spaces, making them more visible from the streets, the building entrances open onto this private courtyard, which is accessed through a central passageway in the façade.

The 48 dwellings are of the same type, with living rooms looking out over the streets and kitchens to the inside of the block. The largest units are at the corners.

The façades are made with large precast pieces of artificial stone, combined with Travertine marble. The windows are generous, protected on the west side with adjustable motorised rolling shutters.
